Precision achromatic polymer wavelength plate (phase plate)

We provide standard λ/4 plates and λ/2 plates. These are polymer wave plates (phase plates) that accommodate a wide spectral range.

The precision achromatic polymer wavelength plate (phase plate) is made by sandwiching carefully aligned polymer laminates between two precision N-BK7 glass substrates, which are laminated together. Standard λ/4 and λ/2 plates are available for typical visible and near-infrared wavelengths. This wavelength plate (phase plate) maintains a phase shift of less than 1% even when the incident angle deviates by ±10°. Both products are fixed within a gold frame marked to indicate the fast axis. ■ Wide spectral range ■ λ/100 retardation tolerance ■ Retardation characteristics of λ/4 and λ/2 ■ High damage threshold of 500 W/cm² *The catalog from Edmund Optics Japan can be downloaded from the link below.

Crystal wavelength plate (phase difference plate)

Crystal wavelength plates (phase difference plates) usable for various applications. Available in multi-order and zero-order!

Crystal wavelength plates (phase plates) featuring multi-order and zero-order options are suitable for various applications. Multi-order wavelength plates are ideal for applications where the actual operating wavelength falls within ±1% of the design wavelength of the plate. For applications that do not fall within ±1%, zero-order wavelength plates, which have low wavelength and temperature dependence, are recommended. To facilitate system integration, the gold frame is marked with a fast axis. ■ Zero-order and multi-order types ■ λ/4 and λ/2 retardation ■ Fixed in a gold frame with black anodized finish ■ Zero-order polymer wavelength plates are also available *You can download the catalog from Edmund Optics Japan below.

List of Wave Plates (Phase Plates)

Short delivery time with stock sales! All items available for purchase from just one piece.

Edmund Optics offers a variety of wave plates made from crystals and polymers, including multi-order, zero-order, and achromatic wave plates. Polymer wave plates achieve excellent performance over a wide range of incident angles. Multi-order wave plates are suitable for use with monochromatic light that oscillates within 1% of the design wavelength. Zero-order wave plates achieve high performance over a broader range of wavelengths and temperatures. Achromatic wave plates provide consistent performance over a wide range of wavelengths and temperatures. For more details, please visit the official Edmund Optics website via the link below.

Medium wave & long wave infrared zero-order wavelength plate (phase difference plate)

A lineup of λ/2 and λ/4 plates at design wavelengths in the range of 3 to 9 μm. Wavelength plates for mid to long-wave infrared (phase difference plates).

Medium Wave Infrared (MWIR) and Long Wave Infrared (LWIR) zero-order wave plates (phase plates) are designed for applications in the 3 to 9 μm range. Compared to multi-order wave plates, zero-order wave plates offer a wider bandwidth of usable wavelengths and lower sensitivity to temperature changes. We offer λ/2 plates and λ/4 plates for each design wavelength. They can be used for various infrared applications. All plates are coated with anti-reflective films and are secured with a gold frame to facilitate system integration. ■ Ideal for applications in the 3 to 9 μm range ■ Available in λ/2 plates and λ/4 plates ■ Framed design for easy alignment and system integration *The catalog from Edmund Optics Japan can be downloaded from the link below.

Fresnel rhombic wave plate

A Fresnel rhomb wavelength plate with selectable phase differences of λ/4 and λ/2 at design wavelengths of 532 nm and 1064 nm.

The TECHSPEC Fresnel Rhomb wave plates are available in design wavelengths of 532nm and 1064nm. By utilizing specific angles, they create a phase difference through internal reflections of light, ultimately achieving the desired phase difference upon emission. They can be selected with VIS 0° and NIR II coatings, providing high transmission rates across a wide wavelength range. The phase difference variation is kept below 2% for specific wavelength ranges, making them optimized for use in diode and fiber applications. 【Features】 ■ Wideband performance with <2% phase difference variation ■ Size options of 12.7mm and 25.4mm ■ Phase difference options of λ/4 and λ/2 *You can download the catalog from Edmund Optics Japan featuring this product from the link below.
